About Us

Hello, my name is Jon Barnes. I attended the University of Plymouth between 1996 and 2000 where I studied "Computing & Informatics" (CANDI), and attained a BSc Honors Degree. I left school quite early and didn’t even take any exams, so I had to go to Highbury College in Cosham, Portsmouth to obtain enough qualifications and points to enter university. Luckily, I found that I had a natural aptitude for computers, and so found my niche in life

I have attained the following qualifications, some on a personal achievement basis, and some that were necessary for previous employers.

The Future

To me, now that I’ve taken the plunge and started my own business, my thoughts are naturally geared towards making the company as successful as possible. I am well experienced as well as qualified, having run the entire PC support department for the Redruth branch of Pall Europe Limited. For the first 6 years I supported about 500 users of all skill levels alone, the last 4 years I had an trainee assistant.

I am very aware that there are many, many companies such as mine, all struggling to compete in a very crowded marketplace. I began by helping home PC users, and, luckily for me, I appeared to be quite popular, and now have many clients purely from word of mouth. Many of them are regular clients that trust me to do the best for them, not to overcharge them nor take advantage of their lack of PC skills. Recently I have come across some shocking instances of professional retailers doing just that! I find it quite sad that the profit motive appears to be, the be all and end all for some companies.  Every company needs to make a profit to survive, and I’am no different in that respect, but I always say ‘no fix, no fee’.

At present, I have managed to secure several support contracts with a couple of local firms, maintaining and supporting hardware/software and aiding users. I am hoping that this trend will continue, and as time goes on, and I get more established, I will add a testimonials section to this site.

I pride myself on my honesty and sense of fair play and hope that, together with my qualifications and experience, I will eventually have a company that is regarded as both trustworthy and respected.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site. Appreciate
